To offer the youth of Olathe the opportunity to participate in an organized soccer program without regard to their skill level. To stress the participation, enjoyment, sportsmanship, skill development, safety, and teamwork aspects of the game of soccer, rather than being a "win at all costs" program. To form recreational teams using a "neighborhood" concept following the boundaries of the Olathe School District's elementary schools as closely as possible.
The Kansas Rush Soccer Club is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization formed to promote the development of youth soccer in the Olathe area. Our goal, each season, is to provide each player with an enjoyable soccer experience through participation, skill development and team camaraderie.
The Kansas Rush Soccer Club is a member of Heartland Soccer Association and theKansas Youth Soccer Association (KSYSA), which is the Kansas branch of theUnited States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) - the youth organization of theUnited States Soccer Federation (USSF).
The club is managed by the Kansas Rush Board of Directors, members of which are initially elected and thereafter approved annually by a vote of the parents of each player. Team coaches and club referees are usually family members of the players and are chosen by the Board.
The Kansas Rush Director of Coaching provides ongoing education for the Club coaches. The Club offers substantial reimbursement to member coaches who obtain certification by attending KSYSA Coaching Clinics. The Club also maintains a library of skills and coaching improvement videos and books.
